How much height does a false ceiling reduce?
A standard false ceiling reduces room height by 6 to 8 inches. If you have a low ceiling (below 9 feet), we can use a minimal-drop design that reduces height by only 3-4 inches while still accommodating recessed lights.
Can a false ceiling support heavy lights or fans?
False ceilings are not designed to bear heavy loads directly. Chandeliers and ceiling fans must be anchored to the original RCC slab using clamps or GI supports. We install these anchor points during the ceiling work so everything is secure.
What maintenance does a false ceiling need?
Gypsum and POP ceilings need very little maintenance — occasional dusting and repainting every 4-5 years. Metal grid panels can be removed and cleaned individually. Avoid water leaks from above, as moisture can damage POP and gypsum surfaces.
